Youth to Meet the Future

Youth to Meet the Future is a Leonardo da Vinci mobility project from Lifelong Learning Programme. This project will provide opportunities for basic and social skills development through work-based learning which will help to improve the participant's chances of gaining employment or improving their job prospects. It will also provide a valuable opportunity for personal development (for example, improving self confidence and an increase in self-esteem). The youth/community leaders we work with often comment that many of their clients have not even left their own city, let alone experienced another European culture themselves. Many young people have a negative image of Europe and Europeans gained from some of the right-wing media reports. This Leonardo opportunity will open their horizons to new ideas, new ways of doing things and a new culture which, through dissemination events at the end of the project, will cascade cultural learning down to their communities.

NITIN NGO

NiTiN is a international oriented non-profit organization within the field of education and culture based in Stavanger, Norway since December 2010, aiming to promote intercultural understanding and international cooperation through: Creating possibilities for mobility for all Europeans regardless of age or occupation; Providing qualitative training and educational opportunities for people working in the educational and cultural sector; Assisting Norwegian organizations and municipalities in developing and implementing international projects.
NiTiN has been coordinating several seminars, trainings and mobilities of people from Norway and other European countries within the field of education and intercultural learning through international programmes such as Youth in Action and Lifelong Learning Programme.
